Furzedown Festival
The Festival is a week or two of events in Furzedown organised by Furzedonians. It generally includes evenings of music, local history walks and talks, a film festival, discos, special activities put on by the local churches and events at Sprout, our local community arts centre.
What events were held in 2011 ?
- Two evenings of short international films at the Exhibit Cinema in Balham, programmed by Beryl Richards
- A Sunday afternoon of music with local bands at Streatham Bowls Club
- Pass On A Poem at Sprout
- Follies, Folk and Poetry
- E&A Wates open workshops & interior design event
- Furzedown's Big Day Out (formerly the Fun Day).

Festival takes place during June and July each year. Following the
success of the 2011 Festival, discussions are already under way about
dates/times/themes for 2012's Festval already.
