As a Low Carbon Zone, the project aims to help local community residents and schools to:

Reduce their carbon emissions
Reduce their energy bills
Raise local awareness of environmental issues
Develop skills for low carbon living
Have access to wider networks of information about these issues
Support other Low Carbon Communities
