Notes of the meeting at 8.30- 10.00pm. Sunday 12 November 2000 at Seeley Hall

1. Welcome etc.

Present: Ellis Cory (chair), Mark White, Cl Ir. John Fairbrother, John Hayns, Alan Stanley, Graham Owen, Bob Broad, Tim Kahn, Gina Bailey, Cur. Jane Briginshaw, Shirley Sim, Vijay Bhuchar, Diane Berry.

Apologies:          Anna Lubelska, Helen Long, ClIr. Hart, Maureen Way.

2. Matters arising

Website: On-line and needing volunteers to build up sections.

Leaflet: A5 mock up available. Costings to be done for delivery to whole area.

Constitution: Notes circulated. Not able to progress as Anna absent. Council to be contacted. Balham Society contacted, awaiting reply

Resources/map: Ward area outlined and discussed. It was decided to work with volunteers we have, start small and grow as activities develop. Resource list being worked on.

Park cafe: Contact with council made, still progressing. Currently used for storage.

3. Progress report and action planning.

Local festival: Paper from Anna Lubelska and Helen Long circulated for ideas and discussion. Not able to progress further as both absent. Suggestion for an evening concert with the South London Band put forward. Mark White to find out contact details.

Action Plan: Paper from Graham Owen circulated for discussion. After some discussion the proposals for the questionnaire and fundraising were accepted. Questionnaire to be prepared by Graham Owen Vijay Bhuchar and Bob Broad. Fundraising to be investigated by Mark White, Vijay Bhuchar and John Hayns.

Publicity leaflet: See discussion under Matters Arising.

Barn Dance: Agreed, to be arranged for 14 February 2001. Other ideas for 'Fun Events' were Quiz nights and aKids Show.

Council Mtg: 15 Nov. Agreed to encourage as much participation as possible. Advertising posters to be put up. Information leaflets to be handed out before and after the meeting. Organisation of leaflets to be done by Ellis Cory

Hall booking:Mark White to ensure that Seeley Hall is booked for all Network meetings.
