to upload photographs, to help you sell or 'freecycle' ( click here if you are not already signed-up ) 2) Go to the Furzedown Network Yahoo Group page & click on 'Photos' ( or Click here ) 3) Click on 'create album' ( or Click here ) 4) In the 'album name' field, type a descriptive title ( such as 'Harrys LCD TV for sale, August 2009' ) make sure to include your name & the month & year in the title to ensure that your item is not confused with any older item. ( Limited to 40 characters ) 5) In the 'Description' field, optionally type more details ( such as 'As new, 37" Panasonic LCD TV. £200 ) There is no limit to the number of characters in this field. 6) Now click 'add photo' ( On the right, underneath the 'search for other albums' field ) 7) Click on 'select files' on the left of the screen. Then browse for your photo on your PC or camera attached to the PC & double click to choose. 8) Click on the 'Add Photo' button at the bottom left of the Yahoo photo album page. 9) When the photo is uploaded ( takes a minute or so ), use your mouse to 'right-click' on the photo. Choose the 'copy image location' option with the mouse. 10) Now, in your usual way ( many people do this differently ), create an email to the Furzedown Network group that describes the item you want to sell or give away. At the bottom of the mail, in a new paragraph, hold down the 'ctrl' key, whilst pressing the 'v' on your keyboard. The web address ( url ) of your picture will now show in your email, so that others may view the photo when you have sent the email through to the Furzedown network. Remember that the Furzedown moderator will have to approve your mail before it gets shown on the group, so dont be too impatient if it does not arrive immediately. Now sit back & wait for the enquiries to start flodding in ! When the item is sold, go back to the Yahoo Group Photos page to delete your album. To do this, simply select the album to be deleted by ticking the small 'tick-box' in the upper left hand corner of the album you want to get rid of. Then press the grey 'delete' button on the left, adjacent to the 'edit' button. Done. |
